Our goal is to provide medical professionals with the right insurance coverage at every stage of their career.As The Regional Insurance Advisor, You WillBuild and maintain strong working relationships with physicians by reviewing insurance needs, analyzing their current coverage, identifying gaps, presenting and explaining options and associated financial risks and impacts, including retirement planning and recommending OMAI solutions to address those needs and ensure physicians and their families, medical students, and residents have adequate and applicable insurance coverage.

Facilitate the timely and compliant completion and approval of member applications for insurance coverage, clarifying information through the needs analysis process, responding to queries/emails, and liaising with the insurance associate.Provide feedback, insights, and suggestions on OMAI customer service and products, based on interaction with members and peers.

Actively participate in OMAI initiatives.Develop, build, and maintain strong working relationships across the OMA, with the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and other provincial medical association representatives, external business partners to understand industry issues, remain current on emerging insurance trends and technologies and/or changes in applicable insurance and compliance regulations, share information and promote OMAI offerings.Develop and build new relationships with members in local hospitals, clinics, and other areas, to educate and promote OMAI offeringsRequirements That Are Important To UsUniversity Degree in Business, Commerce, or Bachelor of Arts.Minimum of 6 years’ experience with insurance sales and retirement planning.Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) certificate a must.Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certificate, preferred.Thorough knowledge of life and health insurance, both individual and group products, and acceptable insurance practices.Experience in consultative sales in a client-based environment.Experience in sales and marketing.Valid driver’s license and car required.French speaking an asset.Our OfferFantastic opportunity to grow with the team and help shape the strategic direction of OMAICompany-paid professional developmentFriendly and dynamic work environmentCompetitive salary and group benefits packageOntario Medical Association is an equal opportunity employer.
