Hygiene Team Lead / Dental Centre Coordinator

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted October 1, 2021.

Altima Dental is currently hiring a Full-Time enthusiastic and energetic Hygiene Team Lead / Dental Centre Coordinator to join our team of professionals at our clinic in Mississauga, ON.

You will positively contribute to Dental Centre performance through effective coaching of all staff and processes
– patient service, record keeping, financial controls, treatment plans and the appointment book to provide a positive patient experience and support quality dental treatment provided by the clinical team.

Monday
– Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM, hygiene hours vary from open to close This is a maternity leave contract effective October 1, 2021
– November 2022 This role includes a competitive base wage, benefits, vacation, monthly bonus plan and much more Duties: Ensures that all team members are trained, skilled and comfortable with advanced patient service activities.

Coaches team members on a daily basis to consistently surpass patient service expectations.

Maintains patient relations through ongoing dialogue with patients before, during and after treatment.

Identifies and responds to unsatisfied patients with the appropriate recovery action.

Maintains effective patient flow through constant communication with the dentist, dental assisting team, the patient and the front desk team.

Train, coaches, motivates and leads the performance of all Dental Centre Team members.

Integrates new team members into the practices by monitoring and adhering to a formal training/development plan focusing on competencies & learning outcomes.

Actively leads huddles and team meetings to improve the quality of patient interaction, foster team relations and enhance business results.

Understands and consistently applies all internal quality standards and policies relating to Altima Operating Systems and all applicable laws and regulations and regularly audits departments for compliance.

Creates and maintains current contacts in the insurance industry and with third party payers facilitating communication among plan administrators, patients and the Dental Centre.

Develops and maintain records of insurance plans and social services programs to maximize patient access to third party dental care funding.

Monitors and overseas revenue budgets and accounts receivable on a weekly and monthly basis and provides the Head Office with effective action plans to address any shortfalls.

Qualifications: Successfully completed of hygiene diploma or equivalent.

A minimum of 2-3 years working as a hygienist preferred.

A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience supervising teams Licensed with the CHDO Previous experience leading teams would be preferred.

Previous experience with Dentrix is considered an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to influence, coach and motivate others.
