– Regular Full-time (210883) Toronto, ON, CA Posted: 3/3/2021 2:07:55 PM We currently have a Regular Full-time opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist on the Trauma Recovery Clinic at Bayview Campus.

Hours of Work: Weekdays: Days; 8 hours; As per schedule Summary of Duties The Tory Trauma Clinic provides an innovative model of care with a focus on improving patient’s functional and psychological outcomes after traumatic injury.

Services available in the clinic are limited to patients discharged from the Tory Trauma Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and include; surgical follow up, occupational therapy, physiotherapy; psychology and psychiatry, social work, chronic pain management.

The successful candidate will be expected to: Provide individual CBT for clients within the outpatient trauma clinic and liaise/support in patient team Conduct psychological assessments Review intake assessments to determine eligibility for new referrals Provide individual treatment involving a number of different modalities (e.g.

trauma focussed therapy, cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, ACT) Co-facilitate treatment groups Co-facilitate patient education sessions Document within Sunnycare for all clinical contact maintained as per professional and hospital requirements.

Participate in case conferencing Provide in-service education for staff as needed and requested Provide clinical supervision for trainees within the program (i.e., practicum students) Provide professional consultative services to all regulated health professionals within the program Generate and conduct research to support evaluation of intensive program and assess treatment outcomes Ongoing participation in quality improvement and research activities within the Trauma Program Qualifications/Skills D.

in clinical psychology from a CPA/APA approved program Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) is required Completion of a 12 month internship Minimum 2years of clinical experience preferred Training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, group facilitation skills, and other modalities (CPT, PET, DBT, ACT, MBCT, BA, MI) Psycho-diagnostic assessment and psychotherapy skills Ability to use critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills to solve patient care issues Able to provide clinical supervision Clinical experience with a range of psychological disorders (OCD, depression, anxiety disorders, severe and complex mental illness, personality disorders) preferred Clinical experience with neuropsychiatric disorders (eg, Traumatic Brain Injury) and/or neuropsychological testing would be an additional asset but not necessary Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to multi-task and manage ongoing projects in an efficient manner Experience with quality improvement initiatives Ability to establish an independent course of research investigation Demonstrated program development and evaluation skills Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative environment Qualified candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume (in one document) quoting 210883 to: Human Resources Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre To apply, please click ”Apply for Position” at the bottom of this page.
