Must have a valid government security clearance.
ResponsibilitiesInspecting and testing the operation of complex instruments and systems to diagnose faultsRepairing and adjusting complex system componentsRemoving and replacing defective partsCalibration complex components and instruments according to specificationsCoordinating the activities of junior techniciansQualificationsValid government Reliability clearancePost-Secondary education Possess a diploma in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Electronics Technology, or Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.Have at least 24 to 48 months of practical experience as a biomedical technician or technologist.Have good mechanical aptitude and experience working with simple electronic test and repair equipment (i.E.
DVM, soldering iron) Have knowledge of CSA standards or equivalent and medical equipment technical specifications as well as medical device regulations in Canada.
