Procurement Officer


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted February 12, 2018.

Our client is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team for a contract. To qualify, you must have experience within procurement and be a hard working, client focused individual who can work independently and within a team environment. Roles and Responsibilities

– Provide guidance to clients on procurement;
– Works closely with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs;
– Partners with internal stakeholders to develop statement of work for Service Agreements (SA) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and facilitate their review with legal counsel as required;
– Manages end to end process for purchase of materials and services;
– Partners with internal clients to translate their needs into solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs);
– Provide input into the structuring and negotiating of contracts;
– Works with internal stakeholders and vendors as required to provide timely resolution to sourcing issues;
– Use SAP to record contact information;
– Support the director and procurement team

Qualifications and Experience
Post-Secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field;
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in the procurement of goods and services, strategic purchasing and or contract management;
– Minimum of 3 years of recent transactional experience working with SAP.

Education and Certifications
– Minimum education required:
– University Degree or College Diploma Preferred field of study: Business
