Overview: As part of our ongoing transformation journey, we are looking for a Lead Solution Architect to support defined value streams/product lines.

The candidate is required to be agile focused, technically savvy and have a passion for pragmatic & collaborative solutioning.

By working with the business to fulfill product requirements and with a keen eye to reuse & divisional contributions, the candidate will be a key to successful delivery.

With a proven background of hands on Architecture and Engineering, the resource will support product lines in their current & future state architectural design, issue resolution and solutions considerations for associated value streams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of products, and their constituent technologies, and work closely with architecture peers and application focused solution architects.

Pragmatism is essential to this role with strong communication capabilities and a collaborative approach with both business and technical stakeholders alike.

Working closely with the broader divisional architecture team (Product, Domain and Enterprise) & Development Engineering groups, the candidate will contribute to proof of technology initiatives, fulfill both non-functional & functional requirements and provide support in the definition & delivery of our strategic initiatives.

In addition, the resource will have a strong tie to the cross-divisional architecture groups and global domain architects for alignment of technology requirements, capabilities and adoption.

The candidate will have the opportunity to flex their years of hands on/delivery experience in support of our ongoing evolution of our products and processes.

Inspiring supporting the delivery teams as they drive forward is a must in this technology leadership role.

Job Specific Accountabilities: Demonstrates and communicates a passion for digital products and services Applies knowledge of online, cloud and mobile platforms Assists with analysis of how business requirements can be technically implemented Integrates large and complex systems Utilizes proactive problem-solving to address challenges and functional concerns Helps institute superior technology capabilities with diligence, attention to detail and technical intuition Helps implement advanced organizational and planning skills to developmental projects Balances competing priorities while adhering to deadlines and aligning resources with value demands Helps design online and mobile IT architecture, drawing on knowledge of open source and/or commercially available platforms Applies industry best practices and design patterns to create scalable and secure solutions that have superior technical performance Develops system implementation plans/processes and oversee the development, integration, testing and launch stages of Product Assists in driving the implementation of key processes related to building Product as a digital business Evaluates third-party suppliers, products and solutions and engage in/leading collaborative discussions Designs and establish an accredited third-party supplier network of IT/digital delivery partners Assists with the hiring, development and management of a team of system analysts Knowledge & Skills: Deep understanding of business strategy and ability to craft software/platform/infrastructure architecture plans to support business outcomes Knowledge or experience with Cloud based architectures, API gateways; demonstrate and communicate a passion for digital products and services Experience with large or complex system integration projects Good track record of dealing with complex bespoke solutions requiring creative & complex investigations and evaluations of alternative architectural solutions Strategic business acumen and understanding of organization strategy and ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy Experience leading and collaborating across teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods Constantly learns from both success and failure Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next Minimum Experience: 6 years in an Solution Architecture role with 6 years as Lead Software Engineer (full-stack) Experience working on large-scale transformation and strategy is desirable BSc in Computer Science or equivalent Certifications in software architecture and methods a plus: TOGAF, CITA, EACOE, Certified SOA Architect, etc.
