The Role: This team serves as the primary technical resource for the sales force and act as the liaison to help prospective clients evaluate AppRiver products and services throughout the trial period.

A Sales Engineer must enjoy working with people and technology and have the ability to interact with sales, billing and support as well as have excellent customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills.

What you will be doing: Demonstrate and conduct a walk-through for the client through the setup and implementation of AppRiver Services for prospective customers Provide technical and non-technical support and guidance to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of AppRiver services Deliver clear and effective presentations to pilot implementations Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users Work in conjunction with our sales team to ensure prospects enjoy a positive and productive experience while evaluating AppRiver Services Conduct on-boarding of new clients to AppRivers Systems Maintain full knowledge and hands-on proficiency with all company product lines and major competitors product lines Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on developing new products and how to improve existing products Other Qualifications/Technical Requirements: Strong internet proficiency, Cloud computing, SaaS-based security solutions Knowledge of hosted email and email security Extensive knowledge of information technology, computer environments, networking, troubleshooting, configuration, implementation, and applications Comprehensive understanding of networking technology Windows networking, Active Directory, DNS Topology Work Experience with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Mac OS X Work Experience with mail clients; Microsoft Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Mac Ability to work on weekends and after hours Ability to troubleshoot complex issues remotely via phone/live chat/ticket conversation Education/Experience: BS/BA in relevant field (CS, EE, MIS), or equivalent preferred Minimum of two years of technical sales or support experience is a plus Love and passion for helping customers and delivering a Phenomenal experience Ability to prioritize and work responsibly with or without direct supervision Ability to Multi-Task, manage tickets, chats, and phone calls simultaneously Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate and educate others about complex technology simply Who we are: AppRiver provides cloud-based cybersecurity and productivity services to over 67,000 companies worldwide.
