Front end developer/ designer


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted August 10, 2019.

You will work directly with the company’s CEO and Full Stack Developer.We are on a mission to develop user-friendly world-class software.

A tall order, but one that our market demands.

We are continually adding new features that expand the capacity of the software.Our customers rely on BoardSpace, our cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) platform to manage their boards of directors.

Every day the boards of directors of condos and not-for-profits use our software for taking minutes during meetings, tracking actions, and keeping track of documents and events.What You’ll Do
· Play an active role in developing the next version of the company’s WordPress site
· Design webpages that automate the marketing and sales processes
· Create a self-guided software demo and FAQs
· Improve the overall website, designing landing pages,
· Integrate landing pages, with signup forms and CRM.

We use zaps from Zapier, FreshChat, FreshSales, a premium theme Divi from Elegant Themes, Gravity Forms, and additional plugins to get various tasks done.
· Collaborate with backend developer to style existing and new features.What we are looking for
· In addition to a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline, you possess:
· Demonstrated ability to design
· Strong proficiency with WordPress (experience with Divi is desirable)
· Proficient understanding of web markup, including, CSS3, HTML, HTML5 (knowledge of XHTML is desirable)
· JavaScript and jQuery
· Aptitude for learning new software
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
· Self-starter with strong initiative and results orientationAdditional RequirementsCandidates must be
• between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive);
• a post-secondary graduate;
• a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada;
• legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations; and
• a first-time participant in a Youth Employment Strategy work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates.(These requirements are imposed because funding is being provided by a federal government program.)Assets and Knowledge:
· Experience using premium WordPress theme Divi (Elegant Themes)
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT (Source Tree)
· Understanding of server-side and database programming languages (ie.

Java, JSF)
· Photography and Video editing
· Netbeans
