To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What you’ll be doing The Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) Group is responsible for all aspects of CIBC’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) regime, including development of policies and procedures, development and delivery of training, and reviewing the activities of CIBC’s business and infrastructure groups, and investigative activities, including the receipt and analysis of information that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions violation, or other high-risk activity.

This is a great opportunity for a Sr Analyst / Consultant with interest in Data & Visualization.

You’ll be interacting with business leaders determining the right solutions to meet their needs and to take ownership for the design, development and delivery of ongoing individual, team, divisional and process performance reporting initiatives.

Leveraging best-in-class Business Intelligence and analytical software, you’ll ensure the reporting is accurate, timely and will strive to apply leading edge visualization techniques.

How you’ll succeed Build & Maintain Strong Business Relationships
– You develop strong relationships with the LOB leaders & employees through regular meetings, presentations, and acting as a liaison on Business Intelligence Reporting.

Deliver Timely and Accurate Reporting
– Design, develop and deliver individual, team, divisional and process performance reporting in line with stakeholder requirements.

Ensure data reported is accurate, timely and presented in a visually appropriate means to ensure audience comprehension.

Ensure appropriate access is managed and reports and analysis are only distributed to appropriate stakeholders.

Make Data Meaningful Through Visualization
– Using best-in-class visualization software, apply leading edge visualization techniques to accelerate information uptake and to maximize comprehension across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

Previous experience in designing simple, intuitive and visually appealing will be highly valued.

Support The Leaders In Strategic Decision Making
– Assist and lead various business partners in formulating the business needs to help them achieve their strategic and operational goals.

You can provide insight and assistance to the EAML senior management on initiatives and operations to inform strategic and operational decisions making.

Who you are You can demonstrate experience in utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) & Visualization software applications for 1-2 years to develop Performance Reporting; or you are a recent Computer Science graduate and have related internship experience.

You can give meaning to data and enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information.

You can lead the business partners to formulate their BI requirement that will help them achieve strategic and operational needs.

It’s an asset if you have experience with Tableau or Cognos (Framework Manager and Report Studio).

You have understanding of RDBMS, data warehouses and data querying tools (SQL).

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, or Computer/Software Engineering or have equivalent years of practical work experience in a related field.

Accreditations such as Lean Six Sigma and ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) are asset.
