Vice President, BlackBerry Technology Sales (BTS) – General Embedded, North America

Are you the person we are looking for?

As Vice President of the North American General Embedded team, you will lead go-to-market and sales across multiple industries, such as medical, industrial and aerospace, in support of high performance, safety certified, mission critical edge devices. You will have overall accountability to plan and deliver the annual Sales Plan and continue to grow what’s already a successful business into something even more incredible. Reporting to the SVP, BlackBerry IoT Sales, this is a unique opportunity to join a hot, fast-growing market with an industry leading, ground-breaking & outstanding technology.

You will bring significant sales and people leadership experience within the embedded software industry in North America. You may already be operating at VP level, or you are ready for the next step up in your career. We will look for you to:

  • Lead GTM and sales activity for embedded software customers in North America and their associated worldwide affiliates.
  • Lead an amazingly dedicated and successful team of Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Representatives, and Inside Sales Managers located throughout the continental United States and Canada
  • Develop the sales annual operating plan and account plans, while driving accurate forecasting and execution to ensure profitable growth
  • Ensure sales coverage throughout the region and ensure effective account management with existing customers
  • Establish high level contacts and relationships with decision makers to foster customer goodwill
  • Assist in organizing marketing activities and lead generation to foster the sales funnel
  • Establish and monitor operational metrics to track progress to goals and drive operational excellence
  • Be involved in strategy to build the sales portfolio and drive revenue growth

  • Significant sales leadership experience in embedded software sales or related areas

  • Proven understanding of regional customer base and buying processes
  • Accomplished business management skills, financial competence and negotiating skills
  • Strategic business development experience and mentality
  • Strong results orientation, and efficiency in troubleshooting through to resolution
  • Knowledgeable about go-to-market and compensation strategies
