Inside Sales Rep

Nortrax

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted January 2, 2019.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains records of equipment and attachment inventory on daily;
  • Assist with service prep work for whole goods sales on daily;
  • Assists customers with equipment issues;
  • Supports Territory Managers with customer or equipment issues by providing resolutions;
  • Coordinates with Territory Manager’s the sale of used equipment or accessories under the direction of the Sales Manager;
  • Responsibility for proactively managing the customer relationship and proactively servicing the needs of an assigned customer
  • In collaboration with Marketing develop advertisements for the sale of equipment;
  • Nortrax customer database with respect to call reports, sales forecasts, customer contact information,
  • Ensure all sales tools and market intelligence remain current,
  • Establish attainable monthly and yearly objectives intended to reinforce continuous improvement and achievement toward company goals
  • Participate in industry association events for your own and company exposure to ensure you are promoting yourself, Nortrax and Deere.
  • Assist in collection of outstanding customer payments and facilitate resolutions/ agreements.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving duties when required.
  • Interprets and implements company policies and develops operating procedures to facilitate store operations;
  • Ensure the store presents a good image to customers and guests. Be aware of brochures levels and appearance of stock;
  • Ensures proper maintenance of the building and grounds regarding appearance, fire and safety protection and report any unsafe issues immediately to management;

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be eager to transition into a Territory Manager position. Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:

College degree preferred. Heavy equipment sales experience may be substituted or combined with education. Organization and communication skills must be highly developed. Computer skills need to be broad based.

Language Skills

Bilingual French/English is an asset. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

This person must possess a valid driver’s license.
