This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted September 14, 2018.

Precision Home & Office Deliveries, is a recognized leader in ”Last Mile” deliveries in Canada.

We are continuing to grow and the position of Terminal Manager for our Ottawa Operation is vital to meeting our Mission and business goals.

The position is directly responsible to manage 2-3 Supervisors, material handlers and indirectly responsible to oversee over 25 Independent Owner Operators – IOOs / Drivers in Ottawa and Gatineau.

This position involves full operational management of cross-dock facilities and independent owner operators in a fast paced environment.

Our customer(s) offers next day delivery and our job is to do so achieving excellence, while enhancing the delivery experience at each client to help make the “Delivery Experience” our value added proposition and differentiator in the marketplace.

You will be responsible under the direction of your Senior Operations Manager to manage facilities and people with a focus on safety, professionalism and results, both operational and financial.

  • Grade Of Execution (G.O.E.) target at or above 96% based on Dilution Model.  4×99%=96%
  • Level Of Service (LOS) target at or above 99%, must remain at 98.5% at all times.
  • Cargo Loss (CL) weekly target of 7 points, must remain at or below 10 basis points at all times.
  • Technology Compliance target at or above 99.5%, must remain above 99% at all times.
  • Reporting Times at 100% and Accuracy at 99% Compliance at all times (except Acts of God, etc…)
  • Execution of Process-Oriented Executional Discipline Model to ensure we protect Precision’s R5 Model.
  • Coaching, Mentoring and Training of employees and contractors at all levels of organization.
  • Develop, Train and Manage and Oversee Performance of Regional Managers, Supervisors to meet set expectations by the Company and/or Customers.
  • Financial Management of Facilities at direct levels to ensure adequate margins are generated to cover Corporate Overheads and driver bottom line profits.
  • Pro-active Communications with Precision’s Head Office, Customer Service, Management and all key customer contracts.
  • Foster an environment of ongoing learning, mutual respect, integrity, ethical standards and professionalism at all times with the members of your team, the customer(s) and all associated members of the Company.
