Sr. Manager, Capacity Technology


This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted July 15, 2021.

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will act as a Product Owner of Retail AMP (Accelerated Market Performance, Tableau-driven interface) and MPA (Market Planning Application, web-based tool), with accountability for the strategic development and ongoing enhancement and maintenance of these applications, managed through agile methodology, and drive user engagement through innovation.

You will be responsible for guiding National Office and Regional teams through the sales and capacity planning cycle.

What will you do?

Be a thought leader and shape the future of capacity technology through partnerships with DNA, DIG, PNS, LoB, STS, etc.

Apply design thinking approach to developing innovative solutions for content (metrics), processes (infrastructure), technology, and support resources (training, user engagement).

Lead as the Product Owner for AMP/MPA agile lab, setting ambitious goals with clear outcomes to establish and deliver against expected functionality (what and when), providing strategic and tactical support to working teams to bring requirements from ideation through execution.

Maximize the planning and deployment cycle to deliver incremental capabilities within defined budget.

Lead and/or represent Capacity Optimization in Regional Banking strategic initiatives (can range from customer relationship management to natural communities, from market structures to re-imagine HR), with a lens on technology and data integration.

Be the trusted advisor for key stakeholders within NO and Regions, guiding senior leaders through market activation, client acquisition, business planning and One RBC activities using AMP to glean insights on performance and market opportunity.

Lead the AMP user community by shaping the operating model on user engagement, and developing and maintaining best-in-class resource/training materials to enhance the self-serve experience.

Guide National Office and in-market teams through the sales and capacity planning cycle by enabling partners with thoughtful insights on market presence, structures and advisor coverage, and recommendations to grow market share.

Provide oversight and project management support for all project tasks and requirements associated with the delivery of optimized capacity to capture market opportunity, including AMP/MPA.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have: Minimum undergraduate degree in business CSPO certification Design Thinking training Proven experience in setting strategic framework and driving delivery from ideation through execution Proven ability to impact and influence stakeholders across different LoB and of different levels, and leading others through change Nice to have: Working knowledge of Tableau Solid understanding of RBC products, sales processes, and data assets What’s in it for you?
