Product Support Manager – Ottawa

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted July 11, 2019.

We are searching for a person with proven customer relations, management and leadership skills from the service industry.

This individual will manage a large team of highly skilled material handling technicians who are out in the field.

As a leader you will devise objectives to meet your departmental goals while growing relationships with a broad spectrum of internal and external customers.

If you are someone who likes to balance their work between time in the field and in the office you will love this position.

You are the key person to remove barriers for your employees and customers while developing long-term relationships along the way.

You work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions to support their business while increasing value added services.

Our service manager will be someone recognized for their ability to resolve customer service issues quickly to the relief and satisfaction of the clients.

You look forward to getting to the office weekly to check-in on your teams performance numbers.

Working in a couple different programs you pull your data to measure against your KPI’s keeping you motivated to strive for 100% utilization of your resources.

You also take this time to plan and conduct meeting with employees, internal and external customers.

Our service manager will also put his analytical and interpersonal skills to work conducting performance reviews and goals with their team.

Your passion in health and safety will be well utilized as you are important to support the fostering of a health and safety culture.

You will audit performance and ensure the workplace safety meetings are in tandem with the JHSC and laws and regulations of the HSA and MOL.

You will monitor job activities and counsel your technician’s on expected standards of on-the-job safety.

Additional Qualifications Education College or university education is required Skills The candidate should be able to demonstrate a high level of business and entrepreneurial qualities High level of empathy and interpersonal skills Leads People and Teams, Strong Interpersonal Skills Abililty to gain respect from others and lead others to meet department and regional objectives The ability to fit into, and work with the Johnston Equipment team is essential Management, service, or business courses would be an asset Computer literacy in the JDE system and MS Office would be an asset Experience selling ideas and solutions Travel within Ontario 60% of the time is required Bona fide job requirement A driver’s abstract will be required upon acceptance of an offer and must meet company policy.

Valid Drivers Licence Business Knowledge and Improvement, Minimum of 5 years experience within the service industry.
