Operational administrative assistant


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted October 10, 2019.

Operational Administrative Assistant On behalf of our client we are looking for an Operations Administrative Assistant.

The purpose of this role is to assist the Operations Manager in day to day duties specifically managing hardware and software inventory in excel.

Must be technical in nature.

Roles and responsibilities Managing hardware inventory Managing Software inventory Managing logistics for executive, visitor and customer meetings (Setup, Catering etc.) Media Support e.g.

conference room set ups, video conferencing Managing logistics for training and travel planning Managing SW and HW tools inventory and licenses in spreadsheets.

Tracking distribution of shared test equipment phones, emulators, power analyzers and HW Managing Shipping and Receiving Shipping packages on behalf of employees Receiving and delivering on behalf of employees Manage Business continuity planning Emergency plan Joint Health and Safety Fire drills etc.

Other Administrative tasks Sending site wide admin emails (space, policies)| Shredder management Stationary/office supplies management Expense management Managing vendor for coffee and vending machine Visitor and employee temporary badge handling Skills required Strong positive can-do attitude Service mindset Strong Outlook, MS word, Excel and powerpoint skills Good written and communication skills Very good organization skills Very good time management skills Qualifications 3-year diploma or a Bachelor’s degree 5 year experience as operational office manager or administrative assistant Previous experience managing a technical database
