Event Coordinator


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted January 6, 2019.

Seeking an Event Coordinator for our nonprofit client located in the downtown core. Our client is ideally looking for someone who can work with minimal supervision and therefore should have at least 4-5 years of equivalent experience. R
oles and Responsibilities
Acting as a liaison with external clients and performing research to accurately determine the client’s needs and costs associated with such needs
Coordinating room reservations and travel arrangements and ensuring that all schedules match up accordingly
Speaking with clients and suppliers both in person and over the phone to ensure that all details are correct for the specific conference or event
Organizing various vendors such as catering, AV, interpretation, etc.
Adobe virtual meetings & webinar logistical support
Document and presentation support, including translation coordination

Qualifications and Experience
You must have at least 3-4 years of experience in an event coordinator/ planner role within a professional environment.
Must have excellent people skills and the ability to work with clients of all levels.
Possess excellent organizational skills and be driven and motivated by deadlines.
