Staff Accountant – Retail

We are seeking a Staff Accountant, Retail to join our Corporate Accounting & Reporting Team.

Reporting int o the Retail Supervisor, Corporate Accounting, this role will be responsible for the financial accounting and financial controls associated with Retail Stores, The Wine Shop (TWS) and Estate Wine Group East/West.

In addition, they are responsible for the completion of monthly retail entries and various account Reconciliations and Reports.

We are looking for a teammate with: University Degree/ College Diploma in Accounting Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.

1 years of experience in financial role.

This teammate will be accountable for: Weekly sales/ inventory reporting to Order Management and monthly reconciliation for BC estates.

Daily integration posting of GL activity to Oracle Cloud.

Monthly journal entry for Magento Reservations activity
– EWG tours/ events Monthly journal entries for EWG estate restaurants.

Daily gratuity payments for BC estate Coverage for East estates gratuity payments including POS statement monitoring and troubleshooting.

Monthly reporting for TWS results
– sales and volume.

Assist with EWG estate event reporting.

Support for internal/ external audit.

Continuously review processes and procedures to improve and/or reduce the financial reporting timeline.

Provide accounting support to management and store managers upon request.

Provide support to Financial Analysts, Financial Accountants and Accounting Staff.

Special projects and requests.
