To continue to grow and secure our operations, we are looking for a Regional Accountant in our Ottawa location.

Your contribution
Under the supervision of the controller, as Regional Accountant, you will act as an advisor and financial partner to the company's managers to support the work of the Finance Department.

Responsibilities of the position
Participate in the preparation of month-end and year-end files for several companies.
Supervision of a team of 4 clerks.
Follow up on fixed asset schedules for various companies.
Follow up and prepare reconciliation schedules for certain balance sheet and income statement items.
Prepare and enter accounting entries.
Prepare bank reconciliations for different companies and divisions.
Participate in the daily data entry of the different units.
Participate in the reconciliation of the shops' cash items.
Prepare financial and operational analyses.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for companies and divisions.
Assist in the development and improvement of control processes.
Participate in the month and year-end closing process of the various companies.
Assist in the analysis of monthly margin differences.

Your qualifications?
Accounting designation would be an asset.
Minimum 4 years’ experience as an accountant
Minimum of 2 years' experience in supervision
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Location and Work environment:

• The workplace is located at 1120 Old Innes Rd, Ottawa, ON K1B 3V2.
