The OpportunityDo you have a love of accounting and a desire to organize, innovate and improve the process?

This is an ideal opportunity for a tech-savvy candidate with experience in basic bookkeeping in a project-based environment seeking a challenge in an upscale, professional firm located west of the downtown core.Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our client, a well respected firm, continues to grow and they are seeking a motivated candidate to join them on a full-time basis.Your New RoleThis position is primarily responsible for all aspects of project billing, accounts receivables and payables, producing financial reports and performing ongoing project analysis, monthly journal and ledger entries and multiple credit card and bank reconciliations as well as performing cash flow management and administration of payroll.The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service and possess strong verbal and written communication skills as they will be responsible for dealing with vendors, clients and employees in person, by telephone and email and organizing tasks such as scanning, filing and tracking key dates.Keys to SuccessTo succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ office bookkeeping and payroll administration experience and be able to demonstrate a strong grasp of project coordination practices and procedures.

You will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in project coordination, project-based billing, office administration, accounting or bookkeeping or demonstrated equivalent experience.

You will have intermediate to advanced computer literacy and ideally have good working knowledge of QuickBooks, project and financial management software, and solid experience working in an MS Office environment.

Experience with benefits administration, Core and social media will also be strongly regarded.Always acting in a highly professional and customer-oriented manner, you must have excellent written and oral English communication.You will be expected to draft, proof and/or finalize correspondence and be able to multi-task with minimal supervision.It is imperative that you have both knowledge and experience with basic accounting principles and office management systems and procedures.While we value solid interpersonal skills, the majority of the work will be performed independently and as such we are seeking an individual who is both pro-active and motivated to solve problems.If you are the ideal proponent, you will thrive on being organized and efficient, with a genuine drive to organize and improve the process and have excellent attention to detail.
