Bilingual accounting assistant

We are currently looking for a Bilingual Accounting Associate to support our client, a leading professional services firm, in their Downtown Ottawa office.

In this role you will work full time hours on contract which will ideally turn into a permanent role based on performance.

The main focus of this role is support Accounts Receivable activities, applying payments from clients to the appropriate account in our internal software:
• Handle cash application activities
• Follow up with clients on open receivables
• Produce broker statements and other accounts receivable related reports Advantages

• Fully bilingual in French and English (oral and written)
• 2+ years of previous accounting experience, preferably in an Accounts Receivable environment
• Strong attention to detail is imperative in this role
• Understanding of billing/invoices processes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team and independently
