Accounts Payable Clerk

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted November 28, 2018.

Our client, located in downtown Ottawa is seeking a skills and detail orientated Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team for a 2-3 month temporary opportunity. If you have a passion for numbers, and a strong attention to detail – this is the role for you! A minimum of 2-3 years of Canadian working experience is required.

Roles and Responsibilities– Invoicing processing and follow up.- Inputting and updating of invoice data within JD Edwards software.- Assisting manager with all outstanding and unpaid invoices.- Mailing cheques, and receiving invoices by mail on a weekly basis. – Assisting with inquiries from external accounting and business parties via email or telephone. – Providing backup support to Accounts Payable manager.- Filing and processing all invoices both electronically and manually.- Reviewing and comparing all batches and information for head office on a bi-weekly basis.

Qualifications and Experience– Completion of a post secondary education is required.- Minimum of 2 years Canadian working experience.- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with advanced levels in EXCEL.- Previous experience using SAP or JD Edwards is considered an asset.- Strong attention to detail skills.- Self- starter personality, with a passion for numbers.- Strong communication skills in English is required.
