Accounting Clerk

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted June 5, 2018.

Seeking an Accounting Clerk to join a dynamic team of professionals in the downtown core. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience, be proficient with all levels and duties in QuickBooks, or Simply Accounting. Communication skills (both written and verbal) is  required for this role.

Role and Responsibilities

General accounting and bookkeeping duties as required
Manage and process Full-cycle AP, AR
Record payments, invoices and expenses
Responsible for accounts and bank reconciliations
Prepare financial statements
Prepare personal and corporate tax files and trust returns
Prepare GST/HST, WSIB and EHT returns
Payroll Administration
Prepare annual T Slips and related summaries
Assist managements with additional administrative duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

University Degree or College Diploma, with an emphasis on Accounting and/or Business Administration
Minimum two years of relevent work experience
High level of proficiency in Quickbooks, Excel, Word and Outlook Good understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work load
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment possess excellent customer service skills
