Work Location: Ottawa, ON

Summary

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for home furniture delivery in a fast paced work environment. We’re looking for a mature and experienced customer service representative who is self-motivated and able to multi-task. On a daily basis, you will be expected to answer phone calls and reply to emails from customers and clients, all of which requires the team member to be well spoken and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares items for shipment by identifying and comparing necessary manifests, invoices and other records
  • Receives and unloads merchandise from incoming freight in a timely manner
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks or shelves etc.
  • Participates in verifying and keeping records for site and inventory audits
  • Labels all work orders and back stock clearly
  • Interacts and responds to customer service and dispatch inquiries
  • Pulls and stages product for independent contractors in designated areas
  • Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to pallet jacks to move inventory in the warehouse combined with inspecting equipment to maintain good working order
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to communicate to customers, co-workers and management in a professional / courteous manner
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Moderate computer skills which includes web based applications, MS Office, specifically Excel and other business software
  • Weekend work is required
