Job DescriptionREVISION MILITARY JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: S OFTWARE DEVELOPER (Intern/Co-op Student) Business Unit: Power & Electronics Department: Integrated Systems Reports To: Manager, Software Development Job level: ST1 Band: 2 Status: Salaried – Exempt Hours/Work Days: 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday) Location: Ottawa (ON) Last update (date): July 2017 PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES The Software Developer Intern will perform software engineering tasks including Requirements development, Design, Code, Test, Verification and Integration of embedded real-time software. The candidate will perform assignments in conjunction with other software and system team members utilizing formal standards processes and documentation. SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Carries out full software development life-cycle for safety-critical systems: planning, development, testing, and (if necessary) certification of embedded software. * Provides input on overall product design and architectural design of embedded software. * Designs and oversees project plans, specifications, and other important documentation required for compliance with industry regulations. * Prepares for and conducts peer reviews of software design materials, code, test cases and procedures. * Provides support for production activities. * Interfaces directly with customers and third parties. Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements * Two or more years of undergraduate experience in the field of computer science or computer engineering. * C/C++ embedded programming skills. * Use of standard design tools for software development. * Proficiency in usage of embedded development tool-chains including compilers, linkers, debuggers and static analysis tools. * Experience with software configuration management tools. * Good communication and teamwork skills & ability to multiplex several activities & work assignments.
