Position Summary

As a Developer you will develop & maintain products (units, nodes, networks, systems and solutions), including development activities like requirement analysis, design, integration, verification, configuration management, PLM support, product documentation.

Areas to Focus includes MiddleWare and OAM modules, COM, Security Management, MOM, Config Management, Fault Management, Start Up, Software Management, Auto Integration (AI) & Golden SW, Transport, Sync Management, Performance Management, SON, Local Agent, etc.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Perform Continuous Analysis and Requirement Handling
  • Develop and Test High Quality Products
  • Perform Trouble Shooting and Customer Support
  • Drive Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes
  • Architectural design and code ownership
    • Drive the key issues/feature discussion which requires input from different teams/sites and propose the solution.
  • Working with and driving supplier SW Design teams: including, working on hot issues and feature development
  • Drive work with Contractor teams: including, working on hot issues, driving features and provide guidelines on decision points.
  • Work with system team + Address the problems which needs input/support from multiple E/// sites.
  • Multisite code development with knowledge transfer.
  • LTE L2 / L3 Software Development:

LTE Layer 2 SW Includes:

  • Layer 1 Procedures, Mac and interface to L1 understanding
  • MAC and scheduler design, unit test scenarios and implementation
  • MAC and scheduler code development, correlating with design document, API and 3gpp Specification.
  • RLC and PDCP protocol Design unit test scenarios and implementation.
  • RLC and PDCP code understanding, correlating with design document, API and 3gpp Specification.
  • Tools used for Log analysis

LTE Layer 3 SW Includes:

  • RRC, S1AP, X2AP protocol design, unit test scenarios and implementation
  • Tools used for Log analysis

OAM Modules need to cover:

  • Data Modeling concept and data driven framework
  • Configuration Management: iteration with CLI and OSS RC (via Netconf)
  • Fault Management: Alarm & Trap
  • Performance Management (PM): KPI generation and reporting
  • Software Upgrade: Configuration data back-up and restore, data migration
  • Golden Software (GSW) generation and verification

Middle Ware Modules :

  • Transport: Ctrl Packet Flow, Fast Path Flow, encryption/decryption -IPsec, Reassembly, PDSP functions, Error Packet handling, Scheduling, vlan scanning for AI (dhcplist), Counter handling
  • Synchronization: Configurations, Holdover, Switch over, Time stamping techniques, GPS synchronization flow, NTP synchronization flow , PTP Synchronization Flow, Understanding on correction Algos, frequency correction techniques, Phase correction methods, Unit test setup/method and Debugging
  • Build and Dev Environment
  • Platform: DSP: TI-MCSDK & SYSLIB, u-boot
  • Linux: Device Drivers
  • RF Software, RF, APIs and features

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • B. Eng. level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
  • English Skills
  • Language C/C++.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a SW designer or equivalent
  • Experience in agile way of working.
  • Experience in utilizing Source Control & Build Tools, e.g. Git, Gerrit, Jenkins etc.
  • Experience with leading engineering projects and being responsible for driving projects from start to completion
  • Self-driven, can-do-attitude, fast learner and a willingness to learn
  • An effective collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skill
