Full Stack Python Developer

Job DescriptionQuickSilk is looking for a Full Stack Python Developer with experience in building high-performing, enterprise-grade, SaaS applications. You will be a part of a creative, multi-national, software team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing development from initial specification, through to developing, testing, and documentation. You may also act as a technical lead on specific projects, where you will be involved in the initial planning and scoping of system requirements. Beyond your exceptional capability using a LAMP development stack, success in this role means you work best in a fast-paced setting within an agile development environment. Here’s some more detail on what you’ll do: * Collaborate with our team of full stack developers to design, develop, unit test, and support ongoing development initiatives; * Proactively learn our product framework and code base; * Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, that meets compliance and security standards; * Strive for high quality and rapid output using agile best practices; * Conduct performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation, as well as develop functional tests and plan, where appropriate; * Support, maintain, and help document software functionality; * Work with other departments, stakeholders, and customers on software development, Improvements, internal tools, and implementation tasks; * Maintain ongoing support of past and future development initiatives; * Assist with task generation, estimation and project planning; * Write developer-level documentation; * Coach, train, and support team members, as needed. Requirements * Proven enterprise-grade development experience using a LAMP stack, Python, and preferably Zend framework * Strong understanding of open source projects like Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, and Django * Proven experience with web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript jQuery, and AJAX * Experience creating data-driven applications using databases, web sockets, JSON, REST, and APIs * Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Stripe, Mandrill, CDN applications, and customer APIs) * Understanding of Web Application Security (OWASP) * BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Benefits Here are a couple of reasons we think youll loving working for QuickSilk: * Our company culture is one of excellence, innovation, and empowerment we genuinely care for our partners, clients, and employees; and, * We are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees feel valued, respected, and supported.
