The Opportunity: We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Managed Security Services (MSS) team as a Web Application Firewall Security Specialist. The Web Application Firewall Security Specialist is an IT Security professional responsible for deploying and supporting security technologies for clients in a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate for this position enjoys working in a dynamic fast-paced collaborative team environment and interacting with clients We are seeking a self-starter who enjoys learning and keeping abreast of new technology trends who has experience with deploying and supporting WAF as well as other security technologies. Technical environment: We use top-ranked industry-leading security tools and technologies incorporating several security technologies for each of our multiple services. MSS has an on-site technology lab which all our members can use for installation trials and proof-of-concepts, training, testing and trouble-shooting. Your future duties and responsibilities Key Deliverables and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to the following) Configuration, deployment and support of client security Web Application Firewall as well as Multi Factor Authentication infrastructure components (security technologies) in collaboration with peers in other CGI teams. Maintain and Support Web Application Firewall as well as Multi Factor Authentication platforms Provide technical support and maintenance for this complex environment comprised of enterprise-class security services. Trouble-shooting and resolution of incidents, in collaboration with teammates as required. Solve complex integration and technical issues. Exchange information with solution vendors. Produce and update related technical documentation. Develop and evolve process and standard operating procedures for new and existing managed security service offerings. Provide input to the Project Manager to create and update project plans. Works effectively on several concurrent client and/or internal initiatives. Perform validation testing as part of the transition of the security solution into production. Transfer knowledge to colleagues via delivery of training courses and clear concise documentation. Provide feedback to our Service Evolution team on service improvement opportunities. Provide input to reference architectures/designs and implementation plans for managed security solutions; may produce designs for less complex solutions. Provide off-hours on call support on a rotation basis. Maintain awareness of trends in regulatory, technology, and operational requirements.
