Common Criteria Program Manager & Evaluator

Job DescriptionYour future duties and responsibilities: Key Responsibilities and Deliverables (include but are not limited to the following): Conduct and manage Common Criteria evaluations for CGI clients; Interface with CGIs Common Criteria clients and provide them with updates and insight on pertinent policy changes or changes with the Common Criteria standard; Ensure a training program is in place for junior evaluators on the team; Manage the budget of projects in concert with the Labs project manager, while ensuring timely and quality outputs to the overseeing certification body; Provide technical oversight of Common Criteria evaluation projects by having a senior level of understanding of the Common Criteria standard and acting in the role of technical advisor to other evaluators; Acting as the labs primary interface to the Canadian Common Criteria Scheme; Aid the sales personnel in scoping level of effort for new Common Criteria project opportunities; Prepare detailed written reports of a high standard, as required; Maintain current with relevant IT environment and industry IT trends, particularly those related to threats and vulnerabilities. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Education and Certifications: Graduated with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in Computer Sciences or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of directly related practical experience and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job; -or- Completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Sciences from a recognized community college, or in a related discipline, combined with a minimum of four (4) years of directly related practical experience and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job; -or- Minimum of five (5) years of directly related practical experience within the last eight years, and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job. The following certifications are assets: CC EAL4+, PCI, SCSAS, SCSA, SCNA, SCSECA, ISSEP, CISSP, GCIA, CCNA, CCSA, CCSE, RHCE, MCP/MCSA/MCSE, and ITIL. Technical Requirements: Should have demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following: A broad understanding of current enterprise related security solutions and issues along with the methods and products for addressing them; Experience providing technical oversight of Common Criteria evaluation projects by having a senior level of understanding of the Common Criteria standard and acting in the role of technical advisor to other evaluators; Windows and UNIX (Linux) administration, configuration, and security concepts; Network Intrusion Detection (IDS) or Prevention Systems; TCP/IP networking, VPNs, VLAN, NAT and applicable security concepts; Crypto devices, encryption technology and PKI; Firewall systems; VPN, PKI systems; Vulnerability analysis and management experience; and System hardening experience. Non-Technical Requirements: Minimum 2 of years experience in a customer-facing technical role; Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with stringent deadlines; Have insight into current and future directions of the CCRA, maintaining awareness of key schemes (NIAP etc), be involved in CC initiatives such as cPPs and the CCUF, and have a deep understanding of the policies and procedures of the Canadian Common Criteria Scheme Experience dealing with cross-cultural and/or foreign customers is an asset; Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate requirements in technical and non-technical terms to customers, peers, and management; Excellent writing skills – must be able to prepare consistent and quality reports; and A proven ability to work independently. Other Requirements: Must be willing to travel 10%. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team. Valid passport as occasional domestic and international travel will be required.
