Communications Specialist


This is a Part-time position in Ottawa, ON posted July 19, 2017.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform research as required to draft content for various communication vehicles
  • Draft and review content for internal and external audiences (brochures, speeches, reports, presentations, press releases, Internet and intranet sites)
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of content related to agency programs
  • Arrange media interviews and act as spokesperson 
  • Respond to written and oral inquiriesCompose daily summaries of news items of interest to the agency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Five years’ experience managing communications project
  • Five years’ of experience in executive level communications, media and stakeholder relations, writing, editing, revisions and project management
  • Knowledge and understanding of economic concepts and terminology
  • University or college diploma in communications, journalism, political science, public administration, economics or law
