  • Works collaboratively as part of the Canadian Federal Solutions Team with Sales Executives and Business Development Managers to provide pre-sales and sales support, including assistance in creating project proposals, responses to U.S. Government Solicitations, implementation plans and account plans.
  • Consults with clients, alliance software vendors and outsourcing organizations to understand business objectives and clearly define related requirements. And track these for successful implementation.
  • Identifies opportunities as well as critical service or customer satisfaction points with customer relationships to help secure contract renewals and support new business development.
  • Develops a detailed understanding of customer’s business requirements and positions D&B to improve or add to current products and services through the identification of up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop an understanding of the customer’s technical environment, and make recommendations to customer or D&B as appropriate to adapt infrastructure or products for smooth and seamless consumption of D&B content.
  • Determines product/service delivery timeframes and develops/communicates technical and operational requirements for accomplishing complex/multiple application project according to contract terms.
  • Participates in or drives the development of project plans, comprehensive workflow for all phases of project, proposal review, presentation materials and development of the Statement of Work.
  • Ensures engagements are priced correctly.
  • Provides billable services including data analysis and modeling, data delivery, management consulting, application design, and other consulting efforts related to the implementation of complex solutions.
  • Monitors the activities of a cross-functional fulfillment team to ensure project milestones are met according to contract terms and prescribed budget. Ensures flawless delivery of D&B products and services by monitoring the activities of cross-functional fulfillment teams. When required, provides hands-on assistance with customization of standard D&B products and services to meet specific customer requirements and training.
  • Acts as the primary contact for the customer team, product management and fulfillment teams to ensure clear communication and flawless execution. Acts as subject matter expert for D&B products and services as well as how to integrate D&B products and services into client systems. Billable services include data analysis and modeling, management consulting, application design, hands-on integration assistance using D&B APIs, and other consulting efforts related to the implementation of complex solutions
  • Must hold a security clearance at Secret Level or higher (or be willing and able to apply)

Position Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years in pre-sales and sales for technical environments, consulting and program management experience including complex information systems analysis, design, development and implementation. Management of consulting services and multiple, billable client engagements. Experience in Government sales or program management a plus.
  • Experience in large scale databases and/or client/server systems. Specifically, Windows Enterprise and Linux/Unix, Web-based Web Server/Application Server, MSSQL/Oracle/MySQL Database administration and data operations experience.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic/technical tools (e.g. MS Office, MS Project) and resources available, both internally and externally, to complete projects.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of high complexity and varying stages ensuring timely completion of contract deliverables and revenue recognition.
  • Practical business experience in account management, consulting services, multiple billable client engagements, sales, marketing and customer service. Experience in Canadian Federal Government sales.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, management skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Technical Bachelor’s degree, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics and Probability is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the concepts and products surrounding the field of "Big Data" and Analytics.
  • PMP and consulting experience preferred.
  • Analytics and visualization tool(s) knowledge is a plus.
