Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Classification Consultant to develop one (1) job description for final approval from the Director, Operational Service Branch. The Consultant will provide draft and final job descriptions for the following position: one (1) new Assistant Director, Operational Services (EX-01).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Review of the provided sample / reference job description(s) / key activities;

Collect and analyze relevant data and documentation in preparation for the project. Discuss any classification issues or concerns with the Manager, Human Resources;

Professional development of new draft job description recognizing the department’s operational requirements;

Position title subject to review pending relativity research and further analysis;Validation of the draft job description with the Director, Operational Service Branch;

Provide final job description to the Director, Operational Services Branch for approval; andConduct various telephone, in person, and/or e-mail communications.

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in writing job descriptions for the Federal Government.

Must have demonstrated experience in writing job descriptions for positions in the EX occupational group within the Federal Government.
