Bilingual Human Resources Advisor

Our client is a most trusted professional engineering and consultancy in Canada. Presently they are searching for a Bilingual Human Resources Advisor to join their team.

Responsibilities:  

Assist with the development, implementation and ongoing administration of various HR programs, policies and initiatives, including: Employment Contracts, Contracts for Services, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, KPI & Metrics, Employee Relations, Health and Safety, AODA, and On Boarding.
Provide delivery of services to managers, employees and consultants of your assigned group of clients in regards of compensation programs, employment documentation, performance management, training and development programs and company orientation. Assist the HR department with the development, support and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Promote company culture, values and positive working relations.
Work in collaboration with managers on people management, employee relations and performance objectives.
Support organizational change management initiatives to meet team and corporate objectives.
Assist with the administration and tracking of training, performance evaluations, and business transformation initiatives.
Respond to employee enquiries and questions regarding Leaves of Absence, Benefits, and General Policy questions.
Responsible for maintaining employees/ consultants related records.
Manage employee database/HRIS, and associated HR documents including new hires, changes and terminations, and provide reports as required.
Maintain knowledge of evolving HR policies and appropriate employment legislation across Canada.
Identify best practices and makes recommendation for improvements.
Support and mentor new staff or junior members regarding Human Resources.
Assist with HR matters including new hires, compensation changes, status changes, handling employee transfers and departures. Complete special projects and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:  

Must be fluently bilingual (English and French).
University degree/College diploma in Human Resources or related field.
5+ years of related Human Resources experience with proven capabilities of working in a fast- paced environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both official languages; including the ability to present ideas, facts, and recommendations effectively.
Demonstrated knowledge of current employment legislation in Ontario and Québec, market trends and Human Resources best practices. Self-starter with demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage changing priorities.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel.
Excellent attention to detail and must demonstrate a high sense of urgency in delivering high quality work.
Advanced level knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and knowledge of an HRIS system.
CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an important asset.
