Controller opportunity available with our private sector client in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years’ of progressive accounting experience. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance department
  • Supervise an administrative staff of 7-10 employees
  • Establish and monitor effective and efficient internal controls
  • Produce monthly financial statements and complete monthly tax remittances
  • Assist in the Annual Forecasting process
  • Collaborate with vendors and department managers to implement cost-saving initiatives and to increase profit
  • Ensure all accounts receivable are in good standing
  • Review employee schedules on a monthly basis
  • Provide exceptional customer services to all operating departments within the organization

Qualifications and Experience

Working towards or completion of CPA designation preferred
Ability to work under pressure meeting strict deadlines is a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites requiredExceptional skills in financial analysis, budgeting
Experience in the automotive industry is an asset but not required
Ability to take initiative and work in a team environment

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: College Diploma
Preferred field of study: Accounting
