Business and Finance Officer – Permanent

An established Crown Corporation in Ottawa’s downtown with a focus on Corporate services delivery for all construction, project management and financial needs for key national landmark and infrastructure assets under jurisdiction of the Minster of Transport Canada.

Roles and Responsibilities
Working with the Manager of Finance, this role will over see the full cycle financial reporting on monthly, quarterly and year-end commitments for a subsidiary corporation. Additionally, supporting the Financial Management team with any year-end Audit preparation and financial reconciliation for business managers.
– Working with the Corporate Management team, there are key projects underway and will involve this professional’s time. For example: centralization of Procurement/Purchasing activity with their ERP system (Great Plains PO module) will increase internal controls, access to key reports, and enhance any financial controls.
– As a valued member of the Corporate business team, this role will involve balancing key Financial reporting as well as communicate regularly with other working teams across Canada.
